Position Overview

As a Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist, your role will be pivotal in aligning supply chain functions with the strategic goals of the organization. You will oversee various supply chain processes, including inventory management, procurement operations, transportation logistics, and supplier engagement. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely material availability while optimizing inventory levels to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.



Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Employ analytical tools to assess and implement inventory optimization strategies based on demand forecasts and organizational directives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee a seamless supply of materials to production facilities and clients.
  • Assist in managing inter-departmental stock requests and necessary order modifications.
  • Maintain optimal safety stock levels to meet production and financial targets.
  • Coordinate and execute product change notifications while minimizing waste.
  • Communicate supply chain challenges with relevant stakeholders regarding production plans and customer needs.
  • Analyze system data to identify and address demand fluctuations.

Procurement Operations

  • Manage the processing of purchase orders, confirm delivery schedules, and monitor shipment progress to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Address discrepancies and issues that arise during the procurement cycle, analyze root causes, and implement corrective measures.
    • Resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.

Transportation Logistics

  • Collaborate with logistics partners to identify the most cost-effective transportation solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Solicit and evaluate freight options to recommend optimal shipping methods that align with production and customer expectations.

Supplier Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and its suppliers.
  • Facilitate supplier interactions and manage escalation processes to address business requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and assist in resolving supply chain disruptions, including quality and logistics issues.
  • Foster and maintain productive supplier relationships through effective communication.
  • Provide support for supplier relationship management systems.



Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management.
  • Experience: 0 to 10 years in a relevant field.
  • Travel: Minimal travel required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
