Prime Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our award-winning Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
- Valid Texas State Registered Nursing (RN) license, required.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current, required.
- Current ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certificate within 12 months of hire.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within 2 years of hire, preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital ED setting, required.
Facility Specific Requirements:
- In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
- EDAP certified facilities: completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
- Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Non-OB facilities: Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 30 days upon hire.
- Minimum of 4 hours of CEU in Pediatric Training Classes per year ENPC, preferred.
