At Sturdy Memorial, we are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient illnesses and injuries. Your primary focus will be on the care and safety of patients undergoing MRI procedures, as well as the operation and maintenance of MRI equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of experience in MRI Technology
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, and/or willingness to continue formal education in this category within a designated time period
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment
  • Synapse/PACS experience
Education and Certification
  • ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology; successful completion of an intravenous certification class approved by this institution, successfully accomplished within the 12-week probationary period
License and Certification
  • ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology required
Physical Demands

The MRI Technologist will be required to use hands to control objects, tools, or controls, stand or sit for long periods of time, repeat the same movements, and be on their feet for extended periods. They will also need to bend or twist their body, see details of objects that are less than a few feet away, and hold their arm and hand in one position or hold their hand steady while moving their arm.

Age-Specific Criteria

The MRI Technologist must be able to effectively communicate with all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations

The MRI Technologist must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
