Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Emerald Health Services. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab Technologist will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, including setting up and cleaning equipment.
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including administering medications and positioning patients.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any emergencies that may arise.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatments.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or related field.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiac Catheterization Specialist (CCS) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
