Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Host Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Barstow, California. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the administration of radioactive materials and the operation of nuclear medicine equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radioactive materials to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment, such as gamma cameras and positron emission tomography (PET) scanners
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Assist with patient care and education
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist (RT) in Nuclear Medicine
  • Experience working in a nuclear medicine department or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
