The Certified Medication Aide serves as a vital caregiver in assisted living, tasked with the administration of medications in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies while assisting residents with their daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating, ensuring their dignity and independence.
- Assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) including meal preparation and housekeeping to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Facilitate meal service in the dining area to promote nutrition and social interaction among residents.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff for timely intervention.
- Adhere to the Individualized Service Plan (ISP) and communicate any observations or suggestions to the nursing team.
- Document care provided accurately using medical record systems.
- Ensure compliance with educational requirements and maintain a safe environment for residents.
Work Schedule:
Full Time, Day Shift (7 am - 3 pm), including weekends.
