Shaver Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tugboat Captain to lead our vessel operations team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of tugboats and barges.

• Conduct regular vessel inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Lead and manage a team of crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve vessel performance and reduce operating costs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Master's License with a Master of Towing Endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a tugboat captain or in a similar role.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.

The Tugboat Captain will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions and varying levels of noise and vibration. The captain will be required to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
