Overview


Loretto Management Corporation is a leading organization dedicated to providing a wide range of healthcare services tailored for older adults in Central New York.

As a Marketing Intern at Loretto, you will collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals within the Marketing Department and its associated Foundation. Your role will encompass various internal communications, public relations, employee engagement events, social media management, advertising, and other marketing initiatives.

This internship offers a broad exposure to multiple roles and responsibilities within the team, adapting to the needs of the organization.


Commitment
The ideal candidate will be available for a flexible schedule, working up to 20-25 hours per week, primarily in-person, for a commitment of 3 to 5 months. Please note that this is an unpaid internship opportunity.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and execution of various internal and external communication projects, including press releases, newsletters, blogs, and presentations.
  • Contribute to the development of communication materials that support marketing initiatives and community events, enhancing the positive image of Loretto.
  • Help coordinate employee and customer events, as well as trade shows, as required.
  • Support web content creation for program launches, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Engage with social media platforms, including Facebook and X, to promote organizational activities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support for various projects.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will be an upperclassman pursuing a BA or BS in communications, marketing, or a related field, with relevant coursework or internship experience. Strong writing skills are essential for completing assignments effectively.

  • Familiarity with AP style is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples.
  • Prior experience in event coordination is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Completed coursework in PR/writing, integrated marketing communications, and digital marketing is preferred.
  • A motivated and eager student looking to enhance their portfolio and gain practical experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is necessary.
