Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all cardiac imaging procedures, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Perform all cardiac imaging procedures, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
• Measure and calculate data according to laboratory protocol.
• Provide written or oral summaries of preliminary findings to interpreting physicians.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being in the Echo department.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) and/or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARMDM) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
