Position Summary:
This role is essential for delivering patient care in a secure and efficient manner. Key responsibilities encompass:

1. Supervising PCA activities
2. Analyzing patient data
3. Conducting patient assessments
4. Formulating care plans and interventions
5. Educating patients and their families
6. Executing treatment plans, adhering to MD directives
7. Maintaining accurate documentation and evaluating outcomes

Integration of patient care standards is fundamental to all clinical functions.

Qualifications:
Education/Training/Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited RN School of Nursing; BSN is preferred.
- One year of experience in acute care is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid CA RN license
- Current BLS-HCP certification
- Current ACLS certification (excluding NICU)
- Current NRP certification (Labor & Delivery / OB Acute / NICU)
- Current PALS certification (Emergency Department only)

Additional Requirements:
- Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Class is optional for RNs with a minimum of 6 months of experience, along with successful completion of the EKG competency exam.
- Unit-specific certifications may be required, including:
- Basic Fetal Monitoring
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)
- NRP
- Basic Dysrhythmia
