AWS Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

AWS DevOps Engineer with a specialization in Resiliency and Performance Testing is sought after by ApTask to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS cloud services, infrastructure as code (IaC), and robust experience in designing and implementing resiliency and performance testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
Architect and implement AWS cloud infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and resilient.
Resiliency Testing:
Develop and execute strategies to test the resilience of cloud-based applications, including chaos engineering practices.
Performance Testing:
Create and manage performance testing frameworks to ensure applications meet performance criteria under various conditions.
Automation:
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance and reliability and generate comprehensive reports.
Collaboration:
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and resiliency issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continually improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years focused on AWS cloud services.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
Strong experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
Expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
Familiarity with chaos engineering tools like Gremlin or Chaos Monkey.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
Certifications:
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
