We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neuro ICU team at Ascension. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, craniotomies, and embolizations.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication management, wound care, and respiratory therapy.
- Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary patient rounds to review patient care goals and progress.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based best practices for stroke patients.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin or compact state.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Experience working in a Neuro ICU or similar critical care environment.
- Knowledge of evidence-based best practices for stroke patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
