Job Summary

David Evans & Associates Inc is seeking a highly skilled Drainage Systems Engineer to join our Transportation Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design and construction of transportation infrastructure projects, with a focus on drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for transportation, public site work, private site work, and flood control projects.
  • Design and coordinate drainage systems, including storm sewers, culverts, detention/water quality facilities, bridge deck drainage, river hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, and roadside ditches.
  • Lead the design team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design efforts.
  • Develop specifications, technical reports, and engineering support for construction projects.
  • Serve as a lead drainage technical liaison with clients and staff manage local drainage engineering staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of drainage experience.
  • Demonstrated work experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CUHP SWMM, and SRH-2D.
  • Local county and municipality project experience.
  • Licensed Utah Professional Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Experience with 2D hydraulic modeling, bridge scour revetment design, and geomorphology.
  • Licensed Colorado Professional Engineer.
