Video Editor Job Description

The Louisiana Lottery is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for taking provided files and editing them into a cohesive video product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble video files and transfer or upload them to a computer.
  • Follow a script, screenplay, or outline to create a cohesive video.
  • Input sound effects, music, and voiceovers to enhance the video.
  • Input graphics to enhance the video.
  • Digital video editing and synchronization.
  • Work closely with Art and Broadcast Production to present a final product that matches the final vision.
  • Coordinate, catalog, and maintain the Video file library database on server and external drives.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in editing software programs.
  • General understanding of computers and digital equipment.
  • Knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
  • Ability to take and follow directions while also having a creative eye for improvements.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Five years' experience in video editing.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with video converter programs and Microsoft products.
