Job Summary

The Workship position in Assessment & Technology at Troy University is responsible for assisting the Technology Coordinator with the maintenance of computer labs and classroom technology. Key responsibilities include cleaning computer labs, updating broken equipment, and maintaining stock inventory of necessary equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a current Troy University student
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals, including ELMO document cameras and desktop/laptops
  • Ability to connect USB, HDMI, and VGA cables and exhibit good cable management practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an IT or computer science program
  • Experience with audio/visual equipment
  • Ability to work during the summer
  • Proficient in assembling carts, tables, etc.

Work Hours

Based on student class schedule

Hazardous Conditions or Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work above the head with ease
  • Ability to bend and work in low cramped areas
  • Ability to upgrade equipment by picking up and installing speakers, webcams, projectors, etc.
