Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Matheny Medical and Educational Center is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our Frelinghuysen, NJ Community Residence.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate LPN to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents with medically complex developmental disabilities. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and addressing the physical and emotional needs of our residents, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Assess and address the physical and emotional needs of residents, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and develop individualized care plans.
  • Document resident care and progress in accordance with regulatory requirements and Matheny's policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training and education of new staff members and provide guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current LPN license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
