Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist

As an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Technologist at MPOWERHealth, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures. Your expertise in electrophysiological testing and monitoring will enable you to provide real-time data to the surgical team, helping to reduce the incidence of post-operative neurological deficits.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preoperative assessments of patients and perform intraoperative sensory and motor tests using currently accepted electrophysiological techniques.
Compile, interpret, and communicate data in real-time to the surgical team.
Complete post-operative reports and billing forms accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., neuroscience, physiology, or a related field).
Current AHA CPR certification.
Valid driver's license.
CNIM or CNIM-eligible certification required.
Working Conditions:
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed.
Occasional/frequent travel by motor vehicle and/or air transportation to healthcare facilities located in both urban and rural areas.
Variable work schedules that may change from week to week, depending on caseload, surgeons availability, creating situations that may require minimal notice to be available for a case.
