Position Overview
The Delaware Public Integrity Commission (PIC) is seeking a qualified Attorney (Commission Counsel) to act as the legal representative for the Commission.
Key Responsibilities
The following are essential functions associated with this role, which are not exhaustive but represent core duties:
- Assisting the Commission in the development and dissemination of manuals and guides that clarify the responsibilities of individuals governed by Chapter 58, while also educating these individuals about compliance requirements and objectives.
- Providing legal guidance to the Commission on matters related to its official powers and responsibilities.
- Evaluating information that comes to the Commission's attention regarding potential breaches of Chapter 58.
- Conducting investigations into allegations that may constitute violations of any provisions of Chapter 58.
- Managing disciplinary proceedings.
- Overseeing and mentoring staff.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of all advisory, waiver, investigatory, and prosecutorial activities.
- Carrying out additional tasks as requested by the Commission related to its official functions, including administrative duties, budget oversight, and annual reporting.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Attorney position, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Must possess a valid license to practice law in the State of Delaware.
- Must provide a certificate of good standing from the Delaware Supreme Court.
- Must exhibit strong computer proficiency.
