Position Overview:

The Per Diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care through the application of the nursing process, adherence to medical plans, and compliance with organizational protocols. This role involves ensuring safe, effective, and quality-centered care for patients undergoing surgical procedures across various demographics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Preoperative and PACU settings.
  • Support the organization's mission, vision, and values through patient-centered practices.
  • Utilize critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
  • Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care; experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address challenges proactively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their practical application.
  • Effective teaching and mentoring skills.
  • Familiarity with Performance Improvement principles.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to engage with patients, staff, and physicians.
