Job Summary: As a critical care nurse specialist at Mercy Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, determine the priority of the patient's problems and needs, and implement clinical nursing interventions. This position requires intensive medical care for acute and critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs
  • Support the surgical team during surgeries by maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients
  • Coordinate the needs of the surgical team with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, including assessment and discharge instructions

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Prior experience in a Critical Care Department or completion of an OR internship program is preferred

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year based on location and experience
