Join the City of Sacramento Fire Department as a highly skilled Paramedic, providing emergency medical services to the community. As a key member of our team, you will respond to emergency calls, provide medical care, and transport patients to medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to emergency medical calls and provide basic life support and advanced life support care.
- Operate ambulances and other emergency vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Provide patient care and transportation to medical facilities.
- Participate in community risk reduction and public education activities.
- Collaborate with other emergency responders and medical professionals to ensure effective patient care.
- Valid California or National Registry Paramedic License (EMT-P).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and CPR certification.
- Two years of experience as a Paramedic (desirable but not required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment and make critical decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, drag, carry, and/or move 100 pounds or more.
