Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is in search of a skilled Bread Specialist. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for food quality, customer service, and community engagement. As a Bread Specialist, you will be part of a vibrant team offering a unique selection of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads, all crafted with honest, wholesome ingredients.

A successful Bread Specialist at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe should demonstrate:

  • A proven ability to excel in the kitchen, from following recipes to paying meticulous attention to detail in creating exceptional breads. The role requires lifting heavy ingredients, with some items weighing over 50 lbs.
  • The capability to stand, lift, and mix as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes while maintaining focus on the baking process.
  • Availability for daytime/afternoon shifts, with baking hours commencing around 11 AM and concluding around 7 PM, including a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed).
  • During peak holiday seasons, the baking schedule may include overnight shifts.

A qualified Bread Specialist at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe should possess:

  • At least 1 year of experience in large-scale baking or pastry (preferred, but not mandatory).
  • Attention to compliance with local, state, and federal food handling and sanitation regulations.
  • Formal education in baking or pastry is a plus.
