Job Summary

The Solar Maintenance Technician is a critical member of Tesla's Field Energy Operations team, playing a key role in accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. As a Solar Maintenance Technician, you will work with the latest solar technology, build relationships with team members, and complete the installation of our products safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Crew Lead and Electrician in the successful servicing and maintenance of Tesla's solar products.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, best service practices, and standard workmanship guidelines.
  • Follow building standards and codes when installing and servicing panels and support structures.
  • Assist with routine maintenance on energy systems.
  • Manage time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers.
Requirements
  • Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry is preferred.
  • Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools, and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attendance is essential for the team to achieve success.
  • Travel is mandatory and will vary dependent on business needs. Employees must be able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time, several times a year to various locations within the US.
  • Must be able to work at great heights, work in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitious duties, and lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
  • Valid driver's license required.
