Job Overview

Argos USA, LLC, a leading cement and ready-mix producer, is seeking a skilled CDL A or B Local Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver to join their team in Canton, GA. As a key member of the Argos team, you will be responsible for delivering loads to customers in the Canton/Atlanta area, ensuring timely and safe transportation of ready-mix concrete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a 9-speed manual transmission truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to customers in the Canton/Atlanta area.
  • Ensure timely and safe transportation of loads, adhering to DOT guidelines and company policies.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load weights and customer information.
  • Collaborate with the Argos team to ensure seamless delivery operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL A or B license.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission truck.
  • Recent graduates welcome to apply.
  • Must have a clean MVR and no DUIs within the last 3 years.
  • No suspensions in the last 30 days.
  • No substance abuse violations in the last 3 years.
  • Must not be restricted from driving at night.
  • Ability to lift extension chutes and other items weighing between 25 and 45 pounds, at least 30 percent of the time.
  • Ability to work irregular hours depending on customer demands.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladder/stairs using three points of contact.
  • Ability to complete required paperwork for the position.

Work Environment
  • Home Time: Home daily, no overnight travel.

  • Level of Touch: No touch, however, there are physical demand requirements.
  • Assigned truck; no slip seating.
Equipment
  • Fleet consists of Mack Trucks and Internationals.
  • 9-speed Manual transmission.
  • Event-triggered cameras.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must live within 35 miles of Canton, GA.
