### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer Highway to join our team at Erdman Anthony. As a key member of our transportation engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering complex engineering design tasks, collaborating with design staff, managers, and mentors, and ensuring project delivery meets client standards and code requirements.

### Key Responsibilities

* Execute assignments requiring a basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals and apply these fundamentals to produce high-quality engineering work
* Develop plans and specifications for highway design, including alignments, right-of-way, drainage, E&S, traffic control, and utility coordination
* Prepare reports, investigatory studies, engineering design calculations, and detailing of structural elements
* Translate design criteria and standard details into completed design
* Prepare designs in compliance with company design procedures and client standards
* Assist Project Manager with contract development, including technical scope of services and cost proposal derivation
* Clarify project design issues, proceed with a clear understanding of time schedule and budget, and complete tasks on or before scheduled time and within budget
* Attend and direct project team meetings, mentor younger staff, and serve as Task Leader, monitoring budget and schedule compliance
* Maintain frequent communication with project team members to verify design requirements and identify problems that arise

### Requirements

* BS or MS degree in civil engineering
* 6-10 years of progressive technical experience, diversified knowledge preferred
* Civil engineer with highway design and transportation engineering focus
* EIT certification required, with the desire to obtain PE in the future
* Prior experience in consulting engineering or construction industry, PennDOT experience required
* Ability to take responsibility of technical work content, proficient verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, team player with excellent interpersonal skills
