Emergency Medicine Specialist

As a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be essential in delivering critical care and emergency services to patients at the Charleston Area Medical Center and affiliated sites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in the field of Emergency Medicine, adhering to the highest standards of medical practice.
- Take a leadership role in patient care issues and be accountable for the outcome of each encounter.
- Stabilize patients and refer them to appropriate medical departments for further treatment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology solutions to enhance patient care.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
Specifically, the candidate must be able to demonstrate competency in:
- Obtaining and interpreting patient information.
- Understanding growth and development.
- Providing a range of treatment options for patients.
Competency Statement:
The candidate must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.
