Position Summary
We are looking for highly skilled and motivated professionals. The successful applicant will play a vital role within a multi-contractor team, providing engineering, program, and technical support to Missile Defense initiatives. This role requires on-site engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Developing use cases and preparing systems engineering documentation, including the definition of Epics and Features for program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement client-requested functionalities.
- Assisting in the creation and evaluation of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, and conducting formal and informal engineering reviews.
- Providing mentorship in use case development to junior systems engineering team members to enhance departmental skills.
- Reviewing technical product details and serving as a technical liaison to MDA working-level counterparts as needed.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years of experience.
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Ability to collaborate within an integrated team focused on developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements necessary for an evolving MDS.
- Proven experience in mission analysis, including the development of use cases, sequence diagrams, and SysML modeling in support of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Capability to generate system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of desired capabilities.
- Experience in requirements elicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower-level subsystems and components.
- Familiarity with maintaining system and component baselines in a requirements management system.
- Ability to define relationships between internal and external components.
- Experience in communicating system-level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse audience, including customers, developers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
- Flexibility to support various tasks on short notice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare presentations as needed.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Epic and Feature definition.
- Knowledge in logical architecture modeling, interface definition, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Experience in the Space Domain and with Missile Defense Systems.
- Active DoD M IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent) with Continuing Education (CE).
Security Clearance
Candidates must possess a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TOP SECRET/SCI level security clearance.
Compensation
Salary range is between $160,000 and $224,000. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay, designed to reward individual contributions and share in company success.
