In this challenging role, you will lead the Shipping and Receiving team at American Cable & Harness. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless material flow, inventory accuracy, and efficient organization of all materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive raw materials into our ERP system and store them in designated locations
  • Pack and prepare daily shipments according to customer requirements
  • Verify material at completion of shop orders
  • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy in our operating system
  • Create and maintain an organized storage environment
  • E nsure material flow aligns with First-In-First-Out (FIFO) guidelines
  • Identify, justify, and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Prepare bills of lading and schedule freight pickups as needed
  • Recommend staff adjustments based on departmental needs
  • Develop and train direct reports
  • Address team members' issues and consult with the Plant Manager as necessary
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and customer-specific requirements
Requirements:
  • Frequent lifting of up to 40lbs
  • Prolonged standing or sitting
  • Able to read measurements on yard sticks, meter sticks, or tape measures
  • Understand written and verbal instructions
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail
