Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, handle cash, checks, and other forms of payment, and maintain accurate records of sales and customer transactions.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and parking lot, and perform basic upkeep and cleaning of all equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels, receiving and verifying vendor deliveries, and controlling merchandise and cash shortages.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals, resolve customer issues, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous retail sales experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, basic math skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds, and push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor/Outdoor Work: Perform approximately 95% of all work indoors, but will be required to work outside to clean parking lots, gas pumps, and take out garbage.
  • Extreme Temperatures: Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
  • Noise Level: Exposure to occasional noise.
