We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team at Lee Health. As a key member of our Echocardiography Laboratory, you will be responsible for performing echocardiographic studies, specializing in transthoracic echocardiographic studies, and assisting with transesophageal echocardiographic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complete echocardiographic studies, integrating all imaging modalities necessary to obtain pertinent patient data for diagnostic purposes.
  • Specialize in transthoracic echocardiographic studies, adhering to departmental and IAC protocol.
  • Assist with transesophageal echocardiographic procedures and perform imaging enhancement agent, saline bubble, portable, and stress echo studies.
  • Document patient data and echo exam information accurately, utilizing our current information management system and following appropriate billing procedures.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of trainees and visitors assigned to the Echocardiography Laboratory.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Graduate from a cardiovascular technology program or diagnostic medical ultrasound program.
  • Extensive experience may substitute training.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Echocardiography (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Echocardiography RCS).
  • BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) certification required.
