Laminator Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Laminator Assistant to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our laminating process.

• Perform quality checks and report any sheet quality issues to the Single Face Operator and Laminator Operator.
• Set up and operate the downstacker section of the machine, troubleshooting mechanical issues as required.
• Lay mylar over label to determine die-cut lead edge and determine print registration tolerances.
• Work with the crew to maximize efficiency of the machine through communication of quality problems.
• Communicate with supervisor and other crew members regarding mechanical problems.
• Perform housekeeping duties and adhere to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.

• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
