Job Title: Material Handler

Job Summary:

Snavely Forest Products Inc is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for handling, moving, and storing various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within our warehouse and yard facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking and packing materials
  • Loading and unloading transport items
  • Recording inventory statuses
  • Ensuring deliveries match purchase orders
  • Maintaining forklift certification and adhering to company safety guidelines

Requirements:

  • Ability to properly use and maintain equipment
  • Prior experience verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Works well in teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Forklift certification
  • Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Critical thinking skills to quickly solve issues and/or problems
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as needed throughout the day
  • Climb, kneel, reach, or bend throughout the day
  • Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, while performing work
  • Ability to operate all equipment on site as necessary
  • Able to withstand environmental temperatures

Compensation:

  • Hourly Wage: $38,000.00-$55,000.00 per year ($18.27-$26.44 per hour)
