Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Repair Technician to join our team as we continue to expand our services and support for schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing technical issues with devices, as well as participating in the administration and growth of our Chromebook Repair program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and repair improperly functioning devices.
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and work in a flexible, changing environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Test components for usability and disposition as needed.
  • Inventory control of parts from devices retired and purchased.
  • Replacement of LCDs, keyboards, motherboards, and system components.
  • Install and maintain software on Chromebook devices to meet the needs of students.
  • Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1+ Years of computer hardware repair experience.
  • High and consistent throughput on repairs.
  • Exceptional documentation skills with an eye for detail.
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on technical experience.
  • Screen and Motherboard replacement experience.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows 10 and Google Chrome operating systems.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, troubleshooting, and making a difference.
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and a multi-tasker.
  • Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.
  • Ability to balance the day-to-day work expectations and deliverables, recognizing own limitations, and knowing when to ask for help.
  • Commitment to helping people to the extent that no problem is considered mundane, no matter how simple the solution.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to be self-directed when necessary.
  • Enjoys sharing information, supporting others, and working on a team to achieve team goals.
