Doug Parr Homes is seeking a dedicated Residential New Home Construction Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in residential building as a Superintendent or Builder. Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee production timelines, critical project paths, contractor schedules, and budget management to ensure timely completion of homes while maintaining quality and profitability.


• Ensure the construction and presentation of homes are executed promptly.


• Collaborate with trade partners, regulatory agencies, internal teams, and clients.


• Maintain daily communication with relevant city officials and inspectors.


• Coordinate all contractors on-site and off-site for each construction phase.


• Ensure each home site is completed on schedule from planning to occupancy, fulfilling all contractual obligations.


• Communicate the company's quality and performance standards to all trade contractors and suppliers.


• Ensure homes are constructed according to specifications outlined in construction drawings, building codes, and approved modifications.


• Order materials and supplies, schedule deliveries, and review invoices for approval.


• Monitor project quality and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.


• Maintain a safe work environment by implementing effective housekeeping practices and safety regulations, enforcing safe work habits.


• Stay informed about applicable building codes.


• Complete checklists and reports to manage various aspects of the construction process under your supervision.


• Strive for the highest quality workmanship and homeowner satisfaction through effective resource management and oversight of the construction process.


• Ensure the cleanliness of the subdivision and hold subcontractors accountable for daily job site clean-up.


• Conduct thorough inspections after each trade completes its work and before authorizing any payments.


• Confirm that city inspections are completed and passed.


• Inspect each completed home prior to homeowner walk-through to ensure it meets standards and is clean.


• Conduct homeowner orientation and walk-through.


• Manage all job site functions related to new home construction.

Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to sit, stand, and move, with the capacity to exert minimal force of up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Candidates must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding to access all areas of the building.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in new residential construction.
  • Advanced training in one or more trades within the residential building sector is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of homebuilding processes, building codes, and contractor standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints to ensure quality control and inspect all construction aspects.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Hyphen/BuildPro is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both industry professionals and clients with limited construction knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage difficult situations positively.
