Position Summary:
The Warehouse Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in our operations by executing order picking, packing, and inventory management tasks. This position is essential in facilitating the shipment of produced goods and managing incoming supplies necessary for production and storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret packing slips and input data into the inventory management system to confirm receipt of goods.
- Complete bills of lading and understand documentation required by major freight carriers.
- Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervising team.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Estimate weights for shipping cost calculations.
- Understand proper packaging techniques and visual aids for specific packaging requirements.
- Utilize common material handling equipment effectively.
- Experience with UPS/FEDEX online systems is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse distribution.
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Proficient in reading and writing English, following verbal instructions, and performing basic math.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Solomon, CRM, and other applications is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Work environment includes both warehouse and office settings, with exposure to typical shop elements.
- Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
- Willingness to work on-site.
