Job Summary

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering and emergency management consulting firm, is seeking a skilled CEI Inspector to join their team in the Orange County, FL area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction inspection, with a focus on bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, schedules, and records of quantities and costs.
  • Verify shop drawings, contractors' quotations, and materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure contractor compliance with health and safety plans and contract documents.
  • Prepare and recommend payment claims to clients.
  • Travel as required to perform duties and attend meetings.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and perform basic math computations.
  • Two years of experience in construction inspection, including one year in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
  • 1+ years of experience with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
  • Civil Engineering degree with required certifications can substitute for experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States required.
