Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Wholesale Solutions team at AXA XL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling an existing portfolio of E&S General Liability business, meeting growth goals, and ensuring profitability for the region.

Key Responsibilities

Support the successful execution of the region's strategic plan with a focus on assigned territory.
Handle an existing portfolio of E&S General Liability business, meeting growth goals and ensuring profitability for the region.
Support and aid in developing new products based on experience.
Create visibility in the assigned territory by communicating underwriting appetite and generate new opportunities by building and maintaining outstanding broker relationships.
Work independently, with underwriting authority based on experience level.
Cultivate key broker relationships in the region to maintain a steady stream of business within our underwriting appetite.
Provide clients with a service that supports the positive image of the company.
Build partnerships with other core lines to aid cross-sell opportunities.
Cross-market with other XL lines, meeting with brokers and insureds as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
Moderate amount of E&S General Liability Underwriting Experience.
Outstanding existing marketing relationships within the assigned territory with experience in production underwriting roles.
Possess in-depth underwriting expertise across general classes and manage high-volume portfolios.
Self-starter who is organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team-centric environment.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain outstanding insured and broker contacts.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication: excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with a willingness to mentor others.
