Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. As a key member of our Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our top-ranked heart and vascular program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including EP studies, ablations, and device implants.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, such as Philips X-ray machines and 3D mapping systems.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms during procedures.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and laboratory efficiency.
Requirements
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • At least 1 year of experience in an EP lab clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registration in Radiologic Sciences (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCESC).
  • Experience with 3D mapping systems and other advanced EP lab equipment.
