Key Responsibilities:

The Psychologist III role involves advanced and specialized psychological work, requiring the ability to perform complex tasks and make informed decisions with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional guidance and consultation to psychology staff and overseeing their performance.
  • Evaluating psychological and behavioral services for youth, developing improvement plans as necessary to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Facilitating ongoing training and support for assigned staff to enhance service delivery and professional development.
  • Coordinating psychological services with other departments to ensure uniformity and best practices.
  • Overseeing the quality and effectiveness of psychological programs and conducting evaluations as needed.
  • Participating in the recruitment and orientation of new staff to ensure effective hiring processes.
  • Maintaining current knowledge in relevant professional areas and performing additional duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in delivering psychological services to individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse issues.
  • Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Expertise in psychotropic medications and their effectiveness in treatment.
  • Strong skills in behavior analysis and the development of behavior support plans.
  • Leadership abilities to motivate staff and implement necessary changes.
  • Advanced writing skills for creating technical reports and proposals.
