Job Summary:The Emergency Room Technician works under the direction of Registered Nurses or ED Clinicians to provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department. This role involves performing fundamental patient care tasks, specific treatments, and procedures, maintaining a clean and stocked environment of care, and communicating patient care findings.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction of RNs or ED Clinicians
- Perform fundamental patient care tasks, specific treatments, and procedures
- Maintain a clean and stocked environment of care
- Communicate patient care findings and perform duties as assigned
- Work collaboratively with patients, visitors, and co-workers to provide exceptional patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
- One year experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills or ability to achieve proficiency within 3 months
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- EMT certification on State of Minnesota Registry
- Equivalent patient care experience
- HUC or unit clerk experience
- Microsoft Office experience
