Role Overview

The clinical nurse, adhering to the ANA scope of practice, employs the nursing process framework to deliver professional nursing care by integrating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse ensures high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within five years.
  • Candidates from non-accredited nursing programs must possess at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully completed the NCLEX licensure examination.
  • Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months.
  • Specialty certification highly recommended within two years.
  • One year of experience as an RN in the ICU preferred.
