Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

Assist surgeons with procedures related to patient care during surgical interventions. Coordinate treatments with other disciplines, provide basic patient assistance, and connect patients to clinical equipment as needed. Maintain aseptic techniques, prepare for surgery, and participate in surgical time-outs and briefings.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify counts and dispose of linens, needles, and sharps

  • Participate in on-call rotations and act as a preceptor for students
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
Benefits:

Geisinger Health System offers a competitive pay rate, up to $5/hr shift differential, and up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse. Weekend incentive bonus available. Full benefits, including health, dental, and vision, starting on day one. Generous paid time off plan and up to $5,000 in tuition reimbursement per calendar year.
