About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inbound Quality Inspector to join our team at Siemens. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for inspecting purchased parts and components for defects and compliance to standards for products such as Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, and Low Voltage Motor Control Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting Purchased Parts and Components: You will be responsible for inspecting electrical and mechanical components for defects and compliance to standards.
  • Collaborating with Teams: You will work with peers, factory personnel, and 3rd party suppliers to ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated and to resolve non-conformances with material that will be used in finished goods.
  • Driving Continuous Improvement: You will drive continuous improvement activities with your team and other departments to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
  • Working with SAP and Microsoft Excel: You will work with SAP and Microsoft Excel to track and analyze quality data.
  • Ensuring Safety: You will adhere to all safety rules and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years' experience with inspection of electrical and mechanical components.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and the ability to read and work with schematic drawings, layouts, wire lists, mechanical blueprints, and sheet metal components.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, and residential or commercial electrical and mechanical education or certifications.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
