Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Respond promptly to guest repair requests.
  • Engage with guests to address and resolve maintenance concerns.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting areas, and public spaces, including mattress inspections and bed frame assembly.
  • Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Demonstrate knowledge or the ability to learn about air conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repairs, and light bulb replacements, ensuring a thorough clean-up afterward.
  • Inspect and repair grout and caulking as needed.
  • Maintain the swimming pool, including chemical balance and equipment upkeep.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, including plumbing fixtures and electrical components.
  • Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before commencing maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Safeguard company assets and foster relationships with all departments through regular communication.

Qualifications:

To excel as a Facility Maintenance Specialist, you should possess a professional demeanor and a welcoming personality. Your ability to connect with others and demonstrate genuine care for their needs is crucial. Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication are essential for maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and guests alike. A clean and professional appearance is expected.

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You should be comfortable navigating stairs, ramps, and ladders, as well as bending, twisting, and reaching as necessary.
