Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Mesilla Valley Hospital. As a Registered Nurse on our psychiatric unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members and in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practices.
  • Supervise Mental Health Technicians (MHT) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience as a registered nurse in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Must have a valid driver's license in applicable state.
  • CPR (AED) certification prior to hire. Successful completion of CPI training including appropriate use of seclusion and restraint within 90 days of employment and must be deemed competent prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam.
