Key Responsibilities:
- Foster trust and respect among team members.
- Create an atmosphere that makes customers feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated by addressing inquiries regarding products available in the department and throughout the store.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of products offered within the department and be prepared to answer questions and provide recommendations.
- Offer product samples to assist customers in discovering new items or products they are interested in.
- Inform customers about promotions and special offers.
- Recommend products to customers to ensure they receive the items they desire.
- Monitor product expiration dates and take necessary actions.
- Label, stock, and manage inventory of department merchandise.
- Report any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager.
- Maintain a positive demeanor.
- Stay informed about current, upcoming, seasonal, and special promotions.
- Reinforce safety initiatives by adhering to safety protocols and identifying unsafe conditions to notify management.
- Conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and alerting the appropriate department or store manager of any items needing repair.
- Notify management of any customer or employee incidents.
- Report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activities, including theft or fraud.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
