Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster trust and respect among team members.
  • Create an atmosphere that makes customers feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated by addressing inquiries regarding products available in the department and throughout the store.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of products offered within the department and be prepared to answer questions and provide recommendations.
  • Offer product samples to assist customers in discovering new items or products they are interested in.
  • Inform customers about promotions and special offers.
  • Recommend products to customers to ensure they receive the items they desire.
  • Monitor product expiration dates and take necessary actions.
  • Label, stock, and manage inventory of department merchandise.
  • Report any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor.
  • Stay informed about current, upcoming, seasonal, and special promotions.
  • Reinforce safety initiatives by adhering to safety protocols and identifying unsafe conditions to notify management.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and alerting the appropriate department or store manager of any items needing repair.
  • Notify management of any customer or employee incidents.
  • Report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activities, including theft or fraud.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
