Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
1. Deliver holistic, evidence-based care, including:
- Accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health issues.
- Health counseling and disposition planning for patients, focusing on education and treatment for pregnancy prevention and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention.
2. Conduct essential clinical tasks such as:
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Administering immunizations and injections, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, along with providing evidence-based counseling and education.
- Performing patient intake assessments and vital sign measurements.
- Conducting diagnostic tests like EKGs and retinopathy screenings.
- Executing point-of-care testing, including COVID testing.
- Managing patient registration and enhancing the overall patient experience.
- Ordering necessary equipment and preparing the clinic for optimal patient care.
3. Contribute to our mission of promoting better health by fostering excellent patient-focused connections and activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
1. A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
2. Proficiency in documenting within an Electronic Medical Record.
3. Capability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and conduct point-of-care testing.
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including CPR and AED operation.
5. Ability to pass a FIT test and wear a respirator mask when required.
Preferred:
1. Phlebotomy certification or relevant experience.
2. Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
Education:
The LPN/LVN must possess a full, active, and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
Work Schedule:
This position involves full-time clinic hours, including every other weekend.
Onsite Requirements:
This role requires onsite presence as needed.
