Job SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Scientist III performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This role requires the ability to utilize equipment, instruments, and computer systems, as well as evaluate and report patient results using independent judgment within established testing methods.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures
- Evaluate and report patient results using independent judgment
- Utilize equipment, instruments, and computer systems
- Perform quality control procedures and contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
- Take a lead role in the development and implementation of new procedures, instrumentation, and computer functionality
- Assume responsibility for one or more major on-going laboratory projects or functions
- Train new employees in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures
- Assist supervisor in the review of laboratory reports, procedures, and quality control
- 3 Years Clinical - Medical Technologist In Clinical - Clinical Laboratory - Moderate and High Complexity Testing Required
- 4 Years Clinical - Clinical Laboratory - Moderate and High Complexity Testing Preferred
- 2 Years Leadership Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology Or Clinical Laboratory Science Required
- American Society for Clinical Pathology Or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Required
Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
Weekend and Call RequirementsNo Weekends
