Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an HVAC Apprentice at McCrea Heating and Air Conditioning Services of PA, LLC.

About the Job

The successful candidate will assist experienced technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This is a hands-on role that requires working in confined spaces, comfort with heights, and ability to lift up to 80 pounds safely.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC systems including oil/gas furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, geothermal systems, air conditioners, air handling units, and water heaters.
  • Learn skilled installation techniques and gain knowledge of safe handling of refrigerant gases, fuel oils, natural gas, and propane.
  • Develop skills to work safely with various voltages of electricity, up to 480 volts 3 phase.
  • Gain experience in brazing with high-temperature torches using propane, acetylene, and oxygen.
  • Acquire knowledge of safe handling of high-pressure nitrogen and refrigerants.
  • Install ductless mini splits and various types of humidifiers including powered, bypass, and steam models.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new situations quickly.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 80 pounds safely.
