The CT Technologist is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for performing specialized CT imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a high level of expertise in operating advanced CT equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring high-quality imaging.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare patients for CT scans, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, including GE 64 Slice CT scanners, Phillips portable, and C-Arm, to produce accurate, high-quality images.
- Monitor and document patient information using the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
- Collaborate with radiologists to review and interpret CT images for accurate diagnosis.
- Participate in quality control procedures to maintain equipment standards and ensure compliance with departmental protocols.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- ARRT (CT) Certification required.
- Current Wisconsin Radiographer's License required.
- BLS Certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required.
- 1 year of X-ray experience preferred.
- Proficient in CT imaging techniques and radiation safety protocols.
- Strong clinical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with Epic EHR charting required.
8-hour night shifts on weeknights (10:30 PM - 6:30 AM). 12-hour night shifts on Saturday-Sunday as part of a 7 on/7 off schedule. Weekend coverage required every other part of the 7 on/7 off rotation. Float to other South Region locations as needed. No on-call or call-back requirements.
